Nice Ride for All

Nice Ride offers affordable, accessible, and fun transportation options for everyone, regardless of income. Our equity program allows those who qualify for certain state or federal assistance programs to sign up.

*Ebike parking is free at Nice Ride stations, e-stations, and University of Minnesota bike racks. You’ll be charged $1 for parking an ebike at a public bike rack in the service area. Parking outside Minneapolis city limits incurs a $5 fee, and parking violations may incur a $5 fee. Parking violations include locking the ebike to itself, private property, trees, signposts, or any other structures as well as blocking pathways, sidewalks, or ramps.

Park your scooter at e-stations, municipal signposts, or any public bike rack in the service area. Parking out of the service area incurs a $5 fee, and parking violations (locking it to itself or anything not mentioned above) incur an additional $5 fee.

Eligibility

If you have one of these, you qualify:

  • Students receiving FAFSA (Federal Financial Aid)
  • SNAP/EBT Card
  • Go-To Card
  • Discounted Utility Bill dated in last 30 days
  • SSI/SSDI Statement benefits
  • Medicaid Card

Nice Ride for All is available to residents of Minneapolis ages 18 and older who qualify for a state or federal assistance program including: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Minnesota Food Assistance Program (MFAP), Transit Assistance Program (TAP), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), SSI/SSDI Supplemental Security Income, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Medicaid and FAFSA.

Pricing

  1. How much does it cost? Only $5 for a full year of access.
  2. What is included? Unlimited 45-minute rides on a Classic bike are included in the membership price when you ride a Nice Ride bike. If you keep a bike out for longer than 45 minutes at a time, it’s $0.05 for each additional minute.When you upgrade your ride to an ebike, it will be an extra $0.05/min.

Sign up

  1. How do I sign up for Nice Ride for All? You can sign up on www.niceridemn.com/for-all-signup. You will need to submit proof of eligibility in a state or federal assistance program.

Membership

  1. How can I ride? You can ride using the Nice Ride app, linking your membership in the Lyft app, or you can link a bike key to your profile.
  2. Already a Nice Ride member? Please contact Nice Ride support, now supported by Lyft, to access Nice Ride for All.

Payment

  1. How can I pay? Credit, debit, or prepaid card.
  2. How do I get a prepaid card? Prepaid cards are available at hundreds of retailers in the across Minneapolis where members can purchase and load cash value to the card. No SSN, bank account, credit card, or identification required.
  3. We accept all open loop cards so you can select the card that works best for you.
